Maca Root has to many health benefits to list. For me though I use it to help with hormone balance, skin health and for an increase in energy before a workout or big day.

It has a nutty-ish taste, at first I found it strange but paired with the right foods and supplements, it’s definitely a taste enhancer.
I love it on top of Cacao Nice Cream or on my Oats in the morning. But paired with Blueberries and a dash of Cinnamon, Let me tell ya…WOW!

It’s a perfect combination. The homemade Almond Milk enhances the nutty flavours and the blueberries give it a refreshing hit. Then your left with a mouth watering cinnamon tingle at the end.

It’s a simple smoothie, and it’s easy to whip up before a workout.

 

Blueberry Maca Smoothie

2 Ripe Bananas
2 cups Blueberries
2 tsp Maca Powder
½ tsp Cinnamon
1 cup Homemade Almond Milke (or milk of choice)
½ cup Water

Optional
1 Tbsp Vanilla Pea Protien Powder 

Put everything in the blender and blend till smooth.
